I’m so glad you found us. Just a little about me; I was born and raised on O’ahu & am now raising my family here in Kapolei. I graduated from Kamehameha and BYUH. I have no intention of leaving the island, and hope to help other locals make a little extra cash, support small businesses and protect our ‘āina by keeping unwanted clothing out of the landfill.
Our concept is fresh to O’ahu so let us guide you through all the questions & steps you might have. My team looks forward to having you as a partner, let’s go through the details.
Four fool proof steps:
1) Reserve a Closet on the Saturday you want
2) Show up on that Saturday at 8am to set up your closet
3) Set up your closet with supplies we provide (you set your prices at that time)
4) Come back Friday between 6pm - 730pm to clean out your closet and take home the items that didn’t sell.
There’s more but that’s the gist.
Things to know when you are a partner with LPH
1) A closet rental is from Saturday morning to Friday evening.
2) Standard price of a 1 week closet rental ranges from $40-60.
3) Closets must be reserved and paid for online.
4) All your inventory must fit in or on your closet.
5) You select your inventory & set the prices, 5 days prior to your move in day a kit can be picked up to prep your items at home. Each kit includes, a tag gun, barbs for the gun, tags/stickers and loops. There is a $20 CASH deposit needed to take a kit home, deposit will be returned when the kit is. Kits are required to be returned on Saturday after set up.
6) If your reservation includes restocking it can be done during business hours Monday & Tuesday. We will post on IG when you do.
7) On Thursday and Friday we do ‘Slash your Stash” discounts. You decide how deep of a discount you want to give , 0%, 25%, 50% or 75%. We do not offer any other percent off. This is not mandatory to do, but does receive air time on socials when you do. Discounts are decided at set up, but can be changed no later than Tuesday at close of business day.
8) Break down for all closets is on Friday at 6pm.
9) If you can’t be there to break down your closet we have a service for that, it needs to be booked by 12 noon on Friday. There is a $40 charge for anyone who does not show to break down their closet or calls after 12 noon on Friday. This fee is deducted from your payout. Items must then be picked up before commission is paid. Items not picked up by the following Friday will incur a storage fee of $5/bag per week, deducted from your payout.
10) Commission split is 33.34% to LPH and 66.67% profit to seller. For high value items the split is 25% to LPH and 75% profit to seller.
12) Commission payouts are made via Venmo ONLY
13) Commissions are paid by Wednesday after your closet is cleaned out, by midnight.
14) Yes you can reserve a 2nd week but we discourage it unless you have many new items and speak to someone on our team to look up your sales. We think it is important to take a break from your closet, it gives your closet a surge of energy and newness.
How do I max out my earnings?
Optimizing your profit is definitely a priority, The best way is to share with your friends and family that you have a closet. You personal friends may not buy your closet but hopefully will come in and buy someone else’s items, in turn the hope is the same for you. We both rely on the word of mouth to be successful.
